The PS Series provides a comprehensive set of software features such as automatic load balancing, snapshot management, replication, volume cloning & management, storage virtualization, thin provisioning, tiering and pooling, with no additional licensing fees.
Dell EqualLogic includes a set of advanced all-inclusive software tools called Host Integration Tools for Microsoft (HIT/ME), integrating key Microsoft technologies - including MPIO, Microsoft Volume Shadow Copy Services (VSS), PowerShell and System Management. Leveraging VSS, Dell EqualLogic Auto-Snapshot Manager provides application-aware, true point-in-time recovery of Exchange Server, SQL Server and Hyper-V data. PowerShell cmdlets help to automate common, repetitive tasks such as VM deployment, volume mapping and snapshot management.
